Welcome from the Chair

Dear Friend,

I'm delighted to welcome you to the Theatre and Cinema  website. I invite you to explore the pages to learn more about our dynamic community -- and then come and visit us in person. We will surprise you!

We are a jewel of a program nestled in a large, beautiful, and comprehensive campus.  We have a long history and a continuing national reputation for excellence.

Ours is a very close-knit program. We take pride in the low ratio of students to teachers (10:1) within a major university. This combination offers students both personal identity and educational flexibility. As a result, our graduates express extraordinary satisfaction with their education. They are working in the professional and commercial theatre worlds, the motion picture industry, and many pursue studies at prestigious graduate programs. Our students and alumni are the best testament to our reputation for excellence.

We hope you'll be inspired to explore our program on this site, pay us a visit, and attend our productions and events!

All the best,

Susanna Rinehart, Chair of Theatre and Cinema programs
